Names are found from the italic text of the PDF itself, with page numbers and context. Abbreviated genera (P. muralis) are expanded and the reference list is skipped.
Checks a catalogue
Every name is compared with GBIF / Catalogue of Life, not with a language model’s memory. You see the accepted name and a link to the record.
Knows the rules
Missing parentheses around the author, wrong years, endings that must agree with the genus, new names already in use, missing registration numbers.
Price
€0.05 per distinct taxon name (species or higher taxon), minimum €2.00 per document, paid by card for each check. You receive an invoice for that check. If a check fails technically the payment is refunded automatically.
